What’s the difference between a “private” and a “regular” city tour?
A private tour can be done every day of the year and its price varies according to the number of people in the group (from one and on). In this way visitors can choose their most convenient meeting point and starting schedule or adding any site that interests them. The stops can also be longer than the standard and the duration of the journey can be expanded regardless of the stipulated original schedule if both the guide and the vehicle are available. The services can be hired in different languages.
The regular city tour is only done in English and is made during the afternoon. The average number of passengers is of 10/15 (approximately) but never exceeds the total number of 20. Pick-up starts at 2 pm and is limited to an area of the city (see below). The journey is similar to the one of our tour “Images of Buenos Aires”, and can also be done privately.

When can a “regular” tour be contracted?
| |
From November 1st to May 31st

Which is the pick-up area of a regular service?
Av. Callao, Av. Del Libertador, Av. Alem, Av. Paseo Colón, Av. Belgrano. When out of this radio a meeting point within the area is to be set.

In which type of transportation are the journeys done?
| |
When the number of passengers is up to 2, we use cars of different categories (Peugeot 405, VW Santana, Peugeot 406, Renault Laguna, Toyota Corolla). If the groups are of 4, or 5 people the passengers can chose doing the tour on a MB Viano paying the correspondent fee. Groups of the same size or more travel in MB Sprinter vans, minibuses or buses. All transportations are equipped with air conditioning and microphones.

Do journeys that use vehicle imply walking?
| |
Scarcely. Only what is required to know the site where the stop is made. Inside Recoleta cemetery the walk is a little longer: around 400 meters. And the tour “Jewish Buenos Aires” includes a walk of five blocks alongside the streets of Once neighborhood.

Do you offer walks?
| |
We have 7 walks along different sections of Buenos Aires. The average number of blocks is of 15 and its durations oscillates between 2 and 2 ½ hours each.

Are the tours offered daily?
Yes. Only on the 25th of December and January on 1st the services are conditioned to the guide’s availability. In those dates tours start in the afternoon.
Jewish institutions do not receive visitors on Friday afternoons or during weekends.

At what time are the tours done?
In order to avoid traffic jams the best time to start is between 9 and 10 am and between 2 and 3 pm. During summer Buenos Aires counts with enough daylight that allows to enjoy any journey between 8 am and 7.30 pm.
Some rides have their schedules conditioned by other sites that are to be visited throughout the tour. Almost every museum is closed until noon and most of them open at 2 pm.

Which tour is more recommendable for starting to know Buenos Aires?
“Images of Buenos Aires” tour is a great starting point to familiarize with the city of Buenos Aires, its people and some of its most renown neighborhoods. Throughout three hours we revisit four centuries of history, culture and architecture that allows us to understand the city’s dynamics since its foundations to these days. The journey comprehends well differentiated areas of Buenos Aires city: from La Boca to Palermo parks, the urban center, the historical districts and several of the northern districts of Buenos Aires.

What’s the difference between Images of Buenos Aires Tour and other city tours offered in Buenos Aires?
| |
Throughout those three hours you will fell the person guiding you as a friend. We shall avoid all that boring data nobody is interested in listening to (as the total number of taxi cabs or the height of the Obelisk). Throughout our tour we shall construct a pleasant and explicative description about Buenos Aires’ development, immigration and metropolization process as well as providing you keys to understand its urban design, the nature of tango, the complexity of peronismo, the imbricate local passion for soccer and other characteristics of the Argentinean society.
There are over a thousand reasons to make you fall in love with Buenos Aires. We therefore do not want to spare time trying to “sell” you anything and less of all make you go into any sort of commercial gallery in order to receive a “commission” for it.

Which languages are available for the making of the tours?
“Images de Buenos Aires” tour can be done in Spanish, English, French, Italian, German and Portuguese. The rest of the journeys can be done in Spanish and English although (and depending on the guides’ availability) can also be done in all languages mentioned above.
Are all guides historians?
| |
Not all. Our services are guided by university professionals with a strong formation in social sciences and humanities. The broad interdisciplinary scope of our working staff (historians, anthropologists, sociologists, art historians, economists, geographers, social communication majors, literature professors) allows us to board diverse themes with a high degree of professionalism.
Can I hire an Eternauta’s tour even if I am not specially interested in History?
Our tours are not “on wheels history classes”. We offer personalized services oriented to highly exigent passengers aiming at making the passengers enjoy emblematic and significant sites of Buenos Aires. We offer professional information about customs, social features and economic and political characteristics of the city and the country in a distended and simple way.

Can other sites be added to the journeys described in the Web?
| |
Yes, of course, and it is regularly done. Let us know when you make the reservation that you are interested in knowing a specific area of the city. This will permit a better organization of the journey’s time schedule and to check if special permits are required to visit the site of interest.
Are lunch fees and/or Museums and other site’s tickets included when they imply an extra cost?
| |
The only tours including lunch and beverages are the “country days” and the tango show. The only tours including tickets are the art tours (in Malba Musem) and the Evita and peronismo tour (in Evita Museum). In the rest of the cases the fees do not include museum tickets, nor donations in Jewish institutions neither extra consumptions nor tips.

Do you offer services to Patagonia and Iguazú?
We do not offer services to those sites. We exclusively offer services in Buenos Aires, metropolitan area and the pampas.

That of someone who is tired of being around in large groups, of group identifying flags and tyrannical schedules. That of someone that wants to know Buenos Aires under a tailor- made itinerary and feels as a traveler and not as a tourist.
